Jerry’s Nugget has gradually added improvements over the past two years. Some new slot machines and a new player tracking system arrived in 2015. New carpeting was laid on the casino floor last.

The food on casinos reviews online the coffee shop is great and you have to try the deserts.
Ps You have to try the meatballs.
This trip, we tried Jerry's Nugget.
About a mile past the fremont Street experience, it was a hidden gem.
Note, it is not in the greatest neighborhood, so not recommended to walk there, and probably would not stay at the hotel because of that, but the casino was awesome.

Jerry’s Nugget is a casino located in North Las Vegas. The surrounding neighborhood is rather depressed and dilapidated, and a drive through the Las Vegas homeless corridor is required to get to it from downtown Las Vegas.

Today I was in the mood for a French dip.
Decided to come check out Jerry's Famous Cafe.
Upon entering we were quickly greeted and sat at a booth per my request.
The customer service was quick, efficient, and beyond friendly.
We never had empty drinks at all.
We ordered the country ham and cheese, potato salad, club sandwich jerrys nugget casino reviews fries, and French dip with fries, plus hot tea.
All of the food was generous portions - to go boxes were def needed.
I'll have to come back in for their desserts as that is what they are known for.
The prices were very very reasonable.
Interior was table seating and booths.
It can be hit or miss with service, meaning that we've experienced long wait times for our food in the past.
However, with our recent visits, they've become better at getting our food out quicker.
So, I'll just throw out what comes to my head.
Food is pretty good.
It WILL take longer for you to get your food should you order their Greek meatballs because they don't make them until someone orders them, but the wait time is worth it.
Their prime rib is always a winner!
Yelpers have already expounded on it, so you'll just have to try it for yourself.
All the soups are home made.
They've been hits with us, maybe being heavy handed on the salt just a couple of times, but you can't go wrong with their soups.
They do have daily specials, and I recommend the barbeque short ribs.
If you're looking for the barbeque taste of say, something smothered in barbeque sauce, this is not the plate for you.
The short ribs are tender and the barbeque is more of an ingredient to enhance the beefy taste of the ribs.
I won't lie; eating this puts you on the highway to heaven, so if you've got cholesterol issues, I'd steer away from it.
But, it's just so darn good.
I haven't had as much success with their seafood dishes.
It's not that they aren't good; they're perfectly tolerable, but I have a keen and picky palate when it comes to seafood and how I want them cooked.
Their calamari is good but it comes with marinara.
Of course, you can ask for dressings that they have like ranch or blue cheese, but I like my calamari with an aioli sauce, which they don't serve.
They have throwback desserts that you'd expect to find in an old-fashioned diner.
All the cakes are round, but they sure do have some tasty ones.
Our all-time favorite is the milk cake.
It's the simplest and least aesthetically-pleasing bundt cake there, but oh.
Do not mistake this with a tres leches cake; for sure, it is not.
The recipe really does hearken back to its roots of yesteryear--the Depression, but it is just oh-so-yummy and moist.
Believe me, I've been inspired by this milk cake to bake my own with online recipesand I cannot duplicate it.
So, I've bought this cake whole on occasion, and it simply disappears so quickly.
There are other noteworthy cakes: Jerrys nugget casino reviews Nascar, the Vegas Golden Knights, and while they are very similar, I prefer the Golden Knights just by a hair over the Nascar cake.
They have a variety of pastries and pies, and I've never gone wrong with the pecan rolls.
For a healthier option, they have this stuffed avocado salad, and I always have it stuffed with their chicken salad.
I think you have the option of it being stuffed with tuna salad, too, but don't quote me on that.
It's a refreshing jerrys nugget casino reviews tasty salad, but to me, is priced high enough to make you think of ordering a more substantial plate like a steak or something.
I think that if you're expecting fine dining, you'll need to go on The Strip.
The location of Jerry's Nugget leaves much article source be desired, but it is a nice gem of a diner in North Las Vegas.
So, if you have reservations venturing into the area, go during the day then.
Price is what I expect it to this web page />I think they charge highly for sodas, although they are refillable.
If you're in the area and want a throwback to Old Vegas dining, this is the place to go.
Booths are rounded and comfortable, but they have tables as well, which I can't either recommend or not, because I'm a booth gal.
First time here and excited about their famous steaks, ordered the 18 oz "Porterhouse"?
First clue was when the server asked who ordered the "T-Bone", everyone looked at each other and I said I ordered the "Porterhouse", she then said "oh, yeah the Porterhouse".
Only problem was I paid for a Jerry's Famous 18 oz Porterhouse.
Too much chewy tendons going on here and no flavor whatsoever.
I should have ordered the Prime Rib?
Oh well, I wouldn't go out of the way to come back here anytime soon.
Reason for the 2 stars was the service and for the decent desserts.
I've been on the hunt for Prime Rib.
I headed to Las Vegas, I looked for places reputed to have the best prime rib.
My wife found this place so we stopped by one night for dinner.
This was not only the largest Prime Rib I've ever had but was as good as it looks!
The meat was soft, well cooked and the horseradish and mash potatoes with gravy were the best!
online casino reviews I had to cheat and my wife had to help me polish off this monster.
But we paid the price and had no space for their desserts sniff, sniff so will need to try it again some other day.
Service was wonderful and our waitress and bus boys link this a very enjoyable experience.
If you get a chance to visit while in Vegas, it's worth visiting.
Today's Review Not So Good I'm Upset with Jerry's Nugget and the Bad Customer Service I've been coming to JN for Years They Lack Knowledge and The Managers Very Rude Casino 20th anniversary blu ray review I've been coming here before she even started Working there.
I bought a Slice of the Milk Cake Days ago the Cake was Very Dry and Stale.
I informed the MOD I Requested a center Piece she told me she was unable to do that.
But aren't you the Manager?
If I could give this place negative stars, I would!
I have read and heard really good things about this place, but it must have been the wrong day.
After reviewing the menu I noticed a selection to which I sought to order, but due to food allergies, I asked the waiter if I could substitute an item due to this reason.
The item I asked to substitute were eggs!
I could understand if I were ordering a special but, this was not a special so I did not understand the issue.
Nonetheless, she told me she could not substitute the item out and the manager was not available.
Therefore, I simply left the restaurant and will not be returning EVER!
Please note, that if you have food allergies stand clear of this place!!!
Jerry's famous coffee shop has been a family go to spot since I was a kid.
My mother would bring my sisters and i here for breakfast and nearly 20 years later, I still consider Jerry's a solid option.
Almost always, I opt for the steak and eggs breakfast.
Medium temp and soft scrambled eggs.
I will say for the price, I don't really over expect, but they always deliver!
If you get here either late night or early enough you can catch the steak and eggs on special and it will be at a ridiculously low price!
If your looking for lunch or dinner they have equally solid options so don't be discouraged.
Whenever your on the go here side of town stop by this old gem for a treat!
The pastries are delicious, besides you can't say your from Las Vegas without a bit of Jerry's!
My husband was looking for the reasonable prime rib and we found here.
Looks like American diner but staffs are nice.
He ordered thick prime rib with straight horse radish.
I love to taste Prime Rib with straight horse radish, too!
It is really like Wasabi!
Side salad is ok and service is good.
There is so many better prime rib Restaurant here I know but the price is reasonable and taste is good!
We will be back again.
Okay this is an update review ,and I decided to bump up my rating to 5 stars instead of the 4 I once gave it, let me explain why.
If you live in north Las Vegas then you probably heard of Jerry's nugget.
What's more iconic than the casino itself?
It has to be their famous coffee shop!
This restaurant has been around before I was born and has stood the test of time.
Not only do they have a wide variety of dishes to offer, but they also give you some of the best service hands down.
And for their excellent hospitality that is why I wanted to give this establishment five stars!
Every single one of their servers, host, and bus persons are amazing and some of the most kind hearted people you will ever meet.
They deliver big smiles along with your food.
Ladies and gentlemen these employees are true culinary front of the house professionals.
The restaurant has a homey vibe to it which I love, oh and gotta love their beautiful display of cakes and desserts as soon as your walk in.
Lots of big booths to sit review chance casino palace of which are super comfortable.
Internet connection kind of sucks haha but it's fine it's rude to be on your phone while your eating anyways.
But let's get into the food shall we?
Food is reasonably priced with page after page of delicious dishes you can choose from.
Today I decided to get the tostada salad with carne Asada steakI asked for the steak to be medium rare and sure enough it was cooked too perfection.
I didn't expect so much steak either but they were very generous with the protein.
I paid basically 11.
The famous coffee shop is well known for their prime rib.
I've had the prime rib before and let me tell You I fell in love with this dish, meat cooked to your liking ,super tenderpacked with flavor, and comes with horse radish that will clear your sinuses in an instant haha.
I also have a small hack I just learned to make your prime rib even better but I'll just write that as a tip.
Son overall another top notch experience at this restaurant and I do recommend to try this place out so GO GO GO!!!!
Now in charge of the North Las Vegas Casino's bakeshop long enough that people are starting to notice, an immense kitchen allowing for the production of everything from Cakes and Cookies to Loaves of Bread, Donuts and even Tortillas, it was around 3:30pm that a seat was taken at a rounded booth where the waitress from last time quickly offered a greeting of recognition, her memory of what was previously ordered surprisingly accurate and a her recommendations to follow fairly in-line what was planned already.
Departing for downtown at this point, a pre-ordered delivery awaiting, those who've visited Jenny and Sheridan lately will likely recognize Chef Taylor's Vietnamese Coffee Cake as a replacement for the opening menu's Guava Cheesecake, the infusion of Espresso adding a light bitterness to an otherwise excellent Chocolate Cake that may slightly disappoint those looking for more Coffee flavor while a Beta-test of Douglas' Brownie as a possible replacement for Flock's Skillet Cookie still needs a little work to insure it remains moist from top to bottom.
Rounding out the tasting with a lengthy conversation, only a few guests trickling in during the off-hour, it was from an extra-large Evel Pie Box that slices of Donut "Pizza" were served via Pie Wedge, the display catching eyes of both servers and guests in "why didn't anyone think of that before" wonder and each wedge soft and yeasty with fresh Strawberry Cream on the inside, an idea that could be even better if different Filings were offered to match the multitude of exterior Glazes and Garnishes.
I love this place.
Food is great and staff are really friendly.
We already have 1 favorite waitress.
Desserts are out of the world.
Some I've NEVER seen before.
So why are they only getting 2 stars?
Because of my 1st and hopefully LAST bad experience.
I ordered the famous Prime Rib that they talk about all the time on the radio.
I got the english cut.
But low and behold it arrives and it's cold.
I showed to our favorite waitress.
She took it back.
Instead of giving me a hot fresh cut, same meat microwaved.
I complained to management of course.
I will still come back.
But NEVER AGAIN will I get the Prime Rib.
DON'T believe everything you hear on the radio stations.
They sometimes will fool you.
Hopefully next time I will have a better experience This is my family's favorite restaurant, and to be quite honest it is a hidden gem!
Every time I have went I never had to complain about anything.
The food is always good, and the service is always on point.
From the hostess, to the busser, to the server, everyone makes our visit so pleasant.
This place is amazing!
So reasonable and tasty.
It is off the strip but worth the trip.
Fresh and tasty describes this place best!
Not the worst experience I've ever had, but just OK.
We all came here for the prime rib because it was rated pretty highly, so this review is just for the food only, not the casino itself.
The dining area was pretty empty when we came in around midnight with only 2 other tables occupied at the time.
So we were pretty surprised after being seated for almost 10 minutes and no server came by.
One of our party went up to the counter to see about our server when she came out to our table and apologized for our wait saying no one had told her we had arrived.
We all ordered pretty much the same thing prime rib and we all got it with varying side dishes but had to settle for medium rare since there was no rare left at that time of the night.
The rib was juicy and tasty and I found no issue with it at all, but I feel quality could have been better.
I still got my red meat, so craving was satisfied.
The complimentary buttered bread had waaay too much butter on it.
I'm talking slathered on so much that I had an upset stomach later that night that needed a dose of ginger ale to cure it.
All in all, it was just an OK experience.
I'm still on the lookout for a prime rib joint with reasonable prices.
Prices here are okay depending on the size of the prime rib you order, but in no way could I justify paying that much for a mediocre meal.
Like I said, just okay.
One of my favorite places to eat in Las Vegas.
Affordable prices and open 24 hours.
The desserts are fantastic.
It's incredible and better than any I've tried at any Greek restaurant.
They're so good that I drive 12 miles just for that alone!
The New York wasn't good as I hoped it was very bland.
The root beer float was my least favorite in town.
Ranch dressing salad was really good in my opinion.
Other salads were mediocre at best.
Ribs and mashed potatoes were bomb.
Not a place I plan on returning to.
The waitress was really nice.
The food was not really good.
We did have a big party and that might have had something to do with it.
I would try it again one more with fewer people just to give it a fair shot.
There are some things Agree, palms casino vegas review site only do in Las Vegas.
Like, ordering Steak and Eggs, for example.
While I never order it in real life, I always do in Vegas.
And almost never for breakfast; Steak and Eggs is the way I end my day.
I was at the end of a casino crawl through North Las Vegas, I rolled into Jerry's around 1:30 am.
It was the end of my Wednesday, but it was already Thursday morning on my phone.
And I was much too drunk to argue with my phone Although it has been remodeled since the last time I visited, the coffee shop here is a blast from the past.
The booths are really comfortable, and they're really tall, so, you know, no one can see if you're carrying on.
Let's talk customer service for a minute.
My waitress, Sherry, was outstanding.
She's been working at Jerry's for seven years and she's seen it all, and boy is it fun to listen to her talk about it!
It wasn't that busy, so whenever she walked by she'd stop and chat.
I'll admit, I was already in a pretty good mood, but she seriously cracked me up.
Back in the early 90's, when the internet was still a baby, Jerry's Famous Coffee Shop was already really famous.
This place had a huge buzz.
Everybody knew this is the place to come for a Prime Rib special.
They still have a special Prime Rib deal, but I think it is limited to just Friday and Saturday night it's all spelled out on the menu, but the menu was almost impossible casino mcphillips street reviews station read because the words were moving around on the page.
No prime rib for me, I needed a Steak and Eggs.
A good steak and eggs.
I was looking for the magic.
Would Jerry's come through?
I ordered my steak rare and my eggs poached soft.
For toast, I went with sourdough, and I asked Sherry to make sure it was burnt.
I like my toast dark.
I crave burnt toast.
Most of the time my request for burnt toast falls on deaf ears.
Rarely do I get it my way.
It takes a really good waitress to make it happen.
The whole damn breakfast was great.
The steak was cooked perfectly, as were my eggs.
I like my hash browns crispy, and even though I didn't specifically ask for them to be cooked that way, that's how they came.
I totally get off on breaking the yolk of an egg on a bed of crispy hash browns.
So, yeah, I was digging this breakfast in a major way.
Before my food came out, Sherry asked if I'd like steak sauce.
Hell yes I'd like steak sauce!
How about A1, Sherry asks.
How about some Heinz 57?
I've been hearing about Heinz 57 all my damn life, but somehow I've never actually had a bottle in front of me.
Yeah, gimme some of that!
Still prefer A1, but it was fun to try something new.
Such a fun visit to Jerry's Famous.
Good meal, great waitress, plenty of laughs.
By the time I finished everything I was totally sober enough to make it back to my hotel.
It was a good day.
Mikey C says: I'm always on the Jerry side, except when I'm on the Phil side.
I had reservations but was told we couldn't sit in the main dining room if my husband wore his hat well okay whatever, we sat in the bar area instead.
We saw the great reviews on Yelp, so we decided to check this place out.
As good as it gets!
Decided to come check out Jerry's Famous Cafe.
Upon entering we were quickly greeted and sat at a booth per my request.
The customer service was quick, efficient, and beyond friendly.
We never had empty drinks at all.
We ordered the country ham and cheese, potato salad, club sandwich with fries, and French dip with fries, plus hot tea.

If you're looking for the barbeque taste of say, something smothered in barbeque sauce, this is not the plate https://festes.ru/casino-reviews/green-valley-ranch-casino-reviews.html you.
It's not that they aren't jerrys nugget casino reviews they're perfectly tolerable, but I have a keen and picky palate when it comes to seafood and how I want them cooked.
There are other noteworthy cakes: The Nascar, the Vegas Golden Knights, and while they are very similar, I prefer the Golden Knights just by a hair over the Nascar cake.
It's a refreshing and tasty salad, but to me, is priced high enough to make you think of ordering a more substantial plate like a steak or something.
I think that if you're expecting fine dining, you'll need to go on The Strip.
The location of Jerry's Nugget leaves much to be desired, but it is a nice gem of a diner in North Las Vegas.
So, if you have reservations venturing into the area, go during the day then.
Price is what I expect it to be.
I think they charge highly for sodas, although they are refillable.
If you're in the area and want a throwback to Old Vegas dining, this is the place to go.
Booths are rounded and comfortable, but they have tables as well, which I can't either recommend or not, because I'm a booth gal.

But I had to cheat and my wife had to help me polish off this monster.
But we paid the price and had no space for their desserts sniff, sniff so will need to try it again some other day.
Service was wonderful and our waitress and bus boys made this a very enjoyable experience.
If you get a chance to visit while in Vegas, it's worth visiting.

I have read and heard really good things about this place, but it must have been the wrong day.
After reviewing the menu I noticed a selection to which I sought to order, but due to food allergies, I asked the waiter if I could substitute an item due to this reason.
The item I asked to substitute were eggs!
I could understand if I were ordering a special but, betsson reviews was not a special so I did not understand the issue.
Nonetheless, she told me she could not substitute the item out and the manager was not available.
Therefore, I simply left the restaurant and will not be returning EVER!

My mother would bring my sisters and i here for breakfast and nearly 20 years later, I still consider Jerry's a solid option.
Almost link, I opt for the steak and eggs breakfast.

Ladies and gentlemen jerrys nugget casino reviews employees are true culinary front of the house professionals.
The restaurant has a homey vibe to it which I love, oh and gotta love their beautiful display of cakes and desserts as soon as your walk in.
Lots of big booths to sit at which are super comfortable.

Not new to Jerry's Nugget, a 2014 trip to sample a slice of Cake celebrating fifty years of business even then showing the Bakery to be far better than most would guess, it was around 2:00pm that two guests entered the aged Casino's learn more here doors where one armed bandits keep watch, the Coffee Shop perhaps one quarter full with a group in back celebrating a birthday and the Cake and Pie cases up front fully stacked.
Enticed by Chef Taylor's social media stream, something the folks handling Jerry's Public Relations would be wise to harness as it seems their attempt to bait "influencers" at Contento fell flat despite good word of mouth, it is by a vast array of colors and designs that eyes are greeted when peering at Cake after Cake and Pie after Pastry, the servers all pleasant and accommodating with surprisingly strong knowledge of items including those listed as weekly or even daily specials.
Moving next to another Breakfast Pastry, the Cream Cheese Filling of Doug's Danish unsweetened and cooked like Custard inside a laminated Bun awash with Butter, it would be hard to say where a better Danish might be found in Las Vegas aside from perhaps Bouchon at twice the cost while a slice of Cake inspired by Chef Taylor's recent trip to Southern California also worked in subtle ways with delicate Cream and Cake featuring a soft crumb juxtaposing crunchy housemade Honeycomb.
Attempting to move light to heavy, the "Milk Cake" baked like a Bundt visually judged correctly to be not far from Tres Leches with intentionally burnt Sugar Glaze overlying a sopping wet sponge, it was next the special actually labeled "Tres Leches" which was less moist but equally delicious that tickled the palate, three actual "Milks" not counted but made irrelevant by virtually weightless Frosting perfumed with Hibiscus.
Taking the position that Coffee is a far better palate refresher than Milk during the tasting, a stance not shared by others involved, it was with thick Nutella Cheesecake atop a crumbly Chocolate Crust that all stood smiling at the end, many bites left for later that evening and the fact that this Cheesecake was entirely different in terms of weight and richness from that in the Nascar showing Chef Taylor is not taking shortcuts even though the average Coffee Shop patron might not be all that critical or discerning.
FOUR AND A HALF STARS: Marred only by location and a Casino that is in need of a serious ventilation upgrade the quality of Douglas Taylor's Cakes are on par with any in Sin City while an obvious drive to do new things offers plenty of impetus for return visits as often as one may be in the mood for something sweet.

So why are they only getting 2 stars?
Because of my 1st and hopefully LAST bad experience.

The food at the coffee shop is great and you have to try the deserts.
Take a cab or Uber.
Inside looks like it was recently refurbished.
Everyone said the restaurant is outstanding, but we had eaten before we went.
Table games are cheap, dealers are friendly.
A lot of locals play there.
We were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday.
We will definitely be back there on our next visit.

It was dirty and dark.
They did have lots of games we'd like to play but you couldn't play a lot of them because there are homeless people sitting everywhere and they weren't playing.
Pretty much all of them that we walked by asked us for money or a cigarette.
Why don't security people kick them out so people that want to spend money can play?
We wanted to stay and play but I wasn't comfortable at all and if we would have won I would have been scared to walk out.
I love the Greek dishes offered as the owners are Greek and really know this type of cuisine.
The stuffed grape leaves are wonderful.
Also they have a full bakery which makes cakes, pies, and other goodies.
